It was a very humid night the most uncomfortable yet, when we got up there was a very thick heavy sea fog with a bit of a swell coming in, nothing big but we had thought of taking the canoes out in that bay and around to the rocky point, with the fog and breeze we didn't think it safe. Merv let the canoes down.
A young English man came across and asked me if I could help him with a blue nosed threadfin that he had caught the night before, he was travelling with a young woman from Germany and one from Ireland, none of them knew how to fillet the fish.
Merv went down to mosquito creek and caught some bait so we could go fishing off the beach in the evening, we were a little late getting down to the beach, a couple, from Germany came along and we got talking to them, time flies, we missed the best tide but it didn't matter, the evening was unbelievable, the sunset was to die for, and guess who forgot the camera.
No fish but a fantastic night.
