10th May Port Smith

Rose early and packed up, went to the ramp to get some photos before we left and met up with  Mal and Helen, a couple we had met on our way, they told us they had their little tinnie out the day before and had caught 2 big Spanish mackerel.
On the way we noticed main roads have finally put in a couple of more rest stops and toilets.
After setting up on arrival at Port Smith, we drove down to check out the lagoon,  which is 7km long at full tide, the water is crystal clear full of fish and turtles.  Bit tricky for boat launching snd recovery,  ok for tinnies.
The park has magnificent big shady trees, just red dirt but fantastic amenities, private ensuite type.
