2nd May 2014

Headed out to the area we walked to yesterday in the hope of catching a flathead or a nice fish for dinner.
Unfortunately that never happened, I caught a small, very pretty longtom and Merv caught several sharks, the smallest reef shark hung around for ages and even chased the longtom when it was on the lure, it was cute and funny.
We watched two very big Osprey working the area, there was also a large flock of bugerigars and some zebra finches,  after a picnic of toasted bacon sandwiches with apples to follow we returned to camp, rested awhile, then packed up the gear in the boat ready for departing tomorrow.
Our peace was shattered later in the day, a couple came in for the night and parked next to us, generator full boar all the time, then around 5pm they put on a movie that they must have thought we wanted to listen to, they did say they watched movies every night before bed.
It does seem a shame,  sometimes the younger people go to these lovely areas but they don't know how to appreciate peace and tranquility.
A bit like the BCF add, only it came to us.
While we have been walking around here we have noticed strange tracks which I thought was from very large beetles, I have been looking in all the bushes hoping to see one, tonight we did, two came wandering into our camp, only it wasn't beetles it was hermit crabs, they are everywhere and so cute, all different, Merv had never seen them in the wild,  I could never put them in a glass bowl as a pet and call them crazy crabs.
