Another day in paradise, waking up to the birds singing as we have breakfast under the beautiful big trees, butterflies dancing around, just when you think you have seen all that is to see here, a kangaroo jumps through our camp, not long after a frilled neck lizard came wandering up near us, I had never seen one before so I got the camera, I was pretty close and people were telling me to be careful as it may run up my legs. I was trying to get him to put his frill out, another lady came along taking photos as well, but there was no way he was going to put on a show for us, after awhile he ran up the nearest tree.
We decided to take the canoes out on the full tide today, so we headed off but in a different direction, up around one of the corners.
Once again the birds were amazing, the sea eagles were soaring above us and when the sun hit the top of there wings they looked like gold.
There was some pure white ibis type water birds, not real sure what sort they were, there was other grey and some black water birds.
There was just as many fish jumping and turtles everywhere, peace and quiet.
We stayed out about 6 hrs today, didn't bring home any fish, caught a lot, but once again nothing we thought worth killing.
When we got back in we pulled the canoes up on the sand and went for a swim in the beautiful warm clear water.
Back at camp wash the canoes out so they could dry ready to pack up, as we are moving tomorrow.
Early shower and put the lycra stinger suit on to try to stop the sand flies, they are very bad tonight.
As the evening came we walked back down to the lagoon to take photos of the sunset, what can I say wow, then back for a dinner of savory rice and chicken kebabs.
I am starting to think I must be going mad, all this exercise.
