30th April 2014

Had a nice sleep in, we intended to take the boat out but the wind had come up quite a bit, by 9.30 it was really strong down the coast, we are sheltered where we are but it was not a boat day,.
We waded the mangroves as the tide was in, the life in mangroves is wonderful,  birds, fish of all kinds and heaps of turtles, I stood still and big ones would come right up near your legs feeding,  I was lucky I amost stepped on a large sting ray, if I had it would have been my fault if he given me a touch along.
Later we caught a couple of yellow fin bream for dinner.
The night was another lovely one so after dinner we took tke fishing gear to sit on the beach, throw in a line as the tide came in.
No fish but there was so many BIG crabs that it was impossible to keep bait on the hook, there was no way I was going to stand in the water, as soon as they saw you they were up on the attack.
Some people probably would have caught them, but neither of us like crab to eat so we just had a bit of fun.
