14th May 2014 Barn Hill Station

Glorious morning to awaken to, after the morning coffee we went for a walk to find where the fish offal was disposed of, as it was the other side of the camp we continued on down to the beach to check it at high tide, it wasn't full tide but was well up, we had to climb over quite a few rocks to get around the corner.
After breakfast we took some snacks and drinks and headed for one of the headlands which was approx 3km down the beach, the tide had turned and was going out quite rapidly.
Merv took his fishing rod and a spinner and cast the whole way down to the headland.
As we walked along we saw a manta ray, a saifish leap out of the water, dolphin feeding and countless other fish jumping,
It was a wonderful experience the beach was so clean, no beer bottles or cans, no plastic bags, it felt like no one had ever been there before, there was some fishing bouys washed in, they were black and huge, to big to be bothered towing one back, some people get them and put them around there camp site, I suppose it is taking them off the beach.
Merv didn't catch any fish today but had a great day, finishing with buying  more bait and an icream, just before beer o'clock.
We were talking to some of the other campers and they said if you go to the headland at low tide you can get around it, there are lots more beaches and just around the corner there is an eagles nest on top of one of the rock out crops, keep going and you hit eco beach, no thank you the headland was far enough.
