15th May 2014 Barn Hill Station

Well we must be gluttons for punishment,  after breakfast we took our fishing gear, and bait this time, back to the headland to be there as the tide was coming in, it was a 8 metre tide today.
We weren't there long and I hooked a nice threadfin salmon but lost it in the very edge of the water,  a few buggers were said, not long after Merv hooked onto a nice golden trevalley,  we made sure we didn't loose that one in the edge, like all trevalley it put up a great fight.
Later he landed another one but we let it go as we already had one, I think he was hoping for a Spanish mackerel, I don't know how we would have carried it back, it was hard enough with our gear and the trevalley.
I landed a small bronze shark, so pretty, but what teeth.
Today we saw several manta ray, turtles and we were just about to go for a swim when we saw 2 more very large dark shapes, may have been more manta ray, but we weren't taking any chances, so it was cool off in close.
After coming back and cleaning the fish, a couple of beers with cheese and bickies, then we decided to walk the opposite direction to the other headland for a look.
We got back about 6 o'clock and Merv cooked seafood cabinara for dinner.
