Travel again today, this time headed for Bitter Springs in Mataranka.
The caravan Park gad good shade, camp kitchen, clean amenities, friendly people.
After setting up we walked down to the springs for a look, they are thermal springs, lots of people floating down the river on noodles.
Next morning we hired a noodle for $1 and headed for the water, what can one say wow, wow , wow, the temp approx 28, the water crystal clear, so it's in you go and float down river in the current to some stairs to exit, walk back and do it again.
The river is very natural with plants in the edge, turtles on the bottom and birds singing in the trees, what a way to relax.
After we left there we went to the other thermal pool that is in Mataranka just to see what it was like.
This one caters more for lots of tourists, the banks have been cemented and paved with little ledges for people to sit or hang on for a rest, both areas are quite deep.
The water here was the same crystal clear, same temperature but it didn't have the same feel, too much man made stuff.
There are lots of big beautiful palms as you walk into this one.
