27th, 28th July 2014 Darwin

We have booked into the Howard Springs caravan Park for a couple of days as we are meeting June and Neville who are flying up from Perth to have a holiday, spend some time together.
In the afternoon after they arrived we went for a walk along the foreshore at Bindi Beach,  had lunch at a cafe, then back toward the car park were there was a big market being set up, these markets are held every Sunday and Thursday afternoons till 9pm.
We walked around the markets, Neville got himself a hat and June a psir of loose trousers to combat the midges.
Across from the markets is the botanical gardens, it is goes without saying that June and I would head for that.
The trees in the gardens really blew me away, they were huge, not only tall but spread out so wide, I had forgotten my camera, even if I had it with me I don't think I would have been able to get the whole thing in the frame.
On the 28th,  which was Neville's birthday, we drove down to the marina, we had a good walk through another park on the top of the banks and also around the marina.
It was fish and chips for lunch while overlooking all the expensive boats.
After lunch we fed heaps of fish of all sizes that were in the marina,  it was like the fish feeding at Doctors Gully, which we had hoped to go to, but with this you didn't have to wait till high tide or pay to do it.
Night time was a snacks dinner followed by warmed fruit cake, icecream and cream and of course beer and wine.
